Merry Christmas, Mr. Brown (The Harold Brown Series, #2)

Synopsis:

Harold Brown loves Christmas. He’s never had any friends or family to celebrate with him. There’s never been anyone to share his Christmas dinner. He’s never had anyone, except Thomas Cat, for whom he could buy presents. Nonetheless, December has always been his favourite month.

But this year, things are going to be different. This year, Harold and Faith Springer-Brown celebrate their first Christmas together as man and wife. And it’s just started snowing in Limberlost, so it looks like it’s going to be a perfect white Christmas. But there’s trouble brewing in the Springer-Brown household.

My Thoughts:

I was sent an Ecopy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Harold Brown is used to spending Christmas by himself and is used to having his own Christmas traditions, but that all is going to change because Harold Brown is married now to Faith Springer and she has her own Christmas traditions.

I really enjoyed this short story it's perfect to read during December or just any time you feel like you're missing the holidays and want to have a little taste of them. I loved how Harold began to get out of his comfort zone and began to understand that sometimes one needs to make new traditions so that both of the people in the relationship can be happy.  Overall this story was a very enjoyable Holiday that I would recommend to anyone that wants to get into the Holiday spirit!

Once home to the wealthy Sterling Hall and his beloved wife, Joanna, Stanton Hall Manor in Maine is famous for the love story that inspired it... and the ghosts who now inhabit it. For Luke and the crew, Stanton Hall is a dream come true.

Unfortunately, some dreams turn out to be nightmares.

My Thoughts:

I was sent this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, I didn't think it was possible to love this book more than the first and yet I did! Michael's secret is finally out the whole world knows he can see ghosts. Luke is contacted by the owner of Stanton Hall Manor a site he has been dying to investigate, but the owner has one condition to allow them to shoot in the Manor, Michael has to be present. So, Michael finally agrees to join Cemetery Tours, but what they thought was going to be one of the best episodes they have ever filmed turns out to be one of the worst for the crew.

This book was so good and creepy, I freaking loved it. One thing that I have noticed and loved about Jacqueline's writing is that she can make you laugh out loud, cry and be terrified all in one chapter and I love it not many authors can do that; she also writes very likable characters I fell in love with them all over again even the new ones. I really enjoyed that there was more Luke and Brink in this book they crack me up and I just can't get enough of those two. Michael's and Kate's character development in this book was very well written especially Michael! I really liked the way he is starting to accept his gift and standing up for it and for himself. I really loved the story about Sterling and his wife it made the book feel all that more real, it was like I was there with the crew experiencing everything. If you have yet to pick up this series, what are you waiting for? It's so good and I can’t wait to read the third book!

My Thoughts:

I was sent an Ecopy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Annabelle hasn't seen her boyfriend for a while and she has been missing him like crazy! One night while she is drifting into sleep she sees him thinking it's just a dream she sleeps with him, but the next morning she finds out that it wasn't and a dream and it wasn't her Henry. Now Annabelle has accidentally bonded herself to a demon that wants her and only her. She is going to have to fight for her freedom with the help of her mom which she just found out is a witch.

This book was very enjoyable I liked the concept and founded very creepy. I liked the paranormal aspect in this I had never heard about an incubus so, I really liked that I could learn about a new thing that goes bump in the night. Ashley's writing is amazing she really got some jumps out of me. With all that said I did have one little problem with it, I felt that it moved very quickly and at times I felt a little lost there was so much happening is such a short amount of time. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to people who are looking for a quick, scary read.

Human harvesters and they're looking for something specific. And Ashley just might be the perfect match.

My Thoughts:

I was sent an Ecopy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I love anything horror, but I'm more into the paranormal horror than the gruesome horror with that said when Ashley Hill contacted me and I read the synopsis I was very intrigued with the story and being twenty-nine pages I took a chance on it and I'm so glad I did. We're thrown into the action right away, Ashley and her boyfriend went to deliver a package to some of his fathers "friends" but the next thing they know they find themselves fighting for their lives. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time reading this when I finished reading I was a little disappointed not because the book was bad, but because I wanted more! This short story has the potential of being a full novel! I do believe that the author Ashley is releasing several more short stories about this and I can’t wait to read them! Especially with that ending!

Synopsis:

At least, that's as far as Michael Sinclair is concerned. At twenty-seven, he has spent his entire life pretending that the ghosts he encounters on a daily basis do not exist. Now, if only the dead would let him rest in peace.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem likely, especially after Kate Avery and her ailing brother, Gavin, move in next door. Kate and Gavin are haunted, and not by a dearly departed loved one. This spirit is aggressive, menacing, and harboring a dark resentment toward Gavin. In spite of every instinct advising him to walk away, Michael finds himself seeking to uncover the mysteries of Gavin's past and falling for the bright and lovely Kate. Yet competing for her affection is Luke Rainer, television's hottest celebrity ghost hunter and the only (living) person to know Michael's secret.

But the dead have secrets, too. Some will go to any length to withhold what should have gone with them to the grave, while others will risk everything to make their voices heard, even if that means putting another's life at stake. Now, for the sake of friends and strangers alike, Michael must choose between preserving his cherished anonymity and lending his aid to those for whom all hope seems lost.

My Thoughts:

I was sent a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review

I love anything paranormal so, when the author of Cemetery Tours Jacqueline Smith contacted me to see if I wanted to review I jumped at the opportunity and I’m glad I did because I absolutely loved it. Our main character Gavin has been able to see ghosts since he was a child, but now that he’s older he prefers to keep that fact to himself; that is until the day he gets new neighbors Kate and her brother Gavin who seem to be haunted by a very angry ghost who seems to have unfinished business with Gavin.

This book was so good, I loved every second of it! Michael, Kate and Gavin are very likable characters I clicked with them immediately; I also found myself liking Luke (the obnoxious TV host of Cemetery Tours) a lot, I found him to be very funny, but not as funny as Brink Michael best friend; I’m really hoping to see more of these two in the second book! I loved that this story was set in Dallas since I live three hours away from Dallas I feel like I can just grab my keys and go explore the places mentioned in the book (which I really want to google and see if they do exist) lol. This novel had me laughing out loud, crying, and had me jumping at any little noise I would hear while I was reading. I love the twist I wasn't expecting it at all and it made this amazing read even better. Like I said at the beginning I loved every second of this book and all the characters have made their way into my heart. If you have yet to pick this book up, I highly recommend it!

Synopsis:

"You’ve misunderstood. It’s not a choice. It’s a destiny."

When fifteen year old Cate accidentally brings a dead cheerleader back to life her connection to the secretive Timesurfers is revealed. The Timesurfers travel through time and battle the powerful dark forces intent on manipulating history. Cate must discover her powers, choose a side and end a centuries old war. No pressure

My Thoughts:

I was sent a copy of the book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Cate has a normal life, well as normal as it can get; until one day after school something seems a miss. That is when Cate notices everyone seems to be frozen except three strangers walking towards her and her bus; soon after that day she finds out that they are Timesurfers and that she is one of them. Cate has to make a very difficult choice about who she will be joining the good Timesurfers who keep the past from being changed or the bad ones, who change the past so it will benefit them in the future.

WOW! This novel took me on an amazing ride! I fell in love with Rhonda's writing, the way she wrote her characters made me fall in love with every single one even the villains. I really liked how our main character Cate adjusted to the news and the changes in her life and her character development was superb. Let’s take a moment to admire the men in this novel gosh Austin and Jonah are such AMAZING characters they have me so conflicted, I don't know who I love more. Rhonda hit me with many twist throughout the novel and I must admit I didn't see any of them coming. This book is so different from any other time travel book I've read, the rules Rhonda set in place for time travelers and the way they travel is what makes the book stand out and just so unique. I loved every second of this book and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new fun read.

Twice Upon a Time New Cover Reveal!

Twice Upon a Time

Buy Me!

 Blio

Synopsis:

Once upon a time, there was the wandering soul of Morgann, an 8th century Irish calligrapher-monk longing to be reunited with his soul mate. Deirdre was his forbidden love, a witch with whom he wrote a coveted book.

Under her spell, the souls of the star-crossed lovers travel from bodies to bodies until they find each other. Eventually.
That became his quest: unearth her new body and trigger her memory, for she is clueless about whom she once was. Unfortunately their story didn't get a chance to become a fairy tale yet it still turned out as a famous urban legend referred as The Black Angel Book.

Twice upon a time, not so long ago, there was me, rational and devastated Rose. I needed to get a grip, said my French mum after my year of numbness due to a painful break-up that led me to cut my wrist daily, to feel something, anything.

So she sent me off to the free-spirited village of Provincetown, Massachusetts, to spend the summer with my American relatives. And just like that, I wasn’t myself any longer. Because someone pulled me out of the darkness and bewitched me, somehow.

I couldn’t wait to jump his bones… but why was he holding back?
He couldn’t wait to welcome me into his world… but was I ready to question my convictions and acknowledge that my self-inflicted cuts were now healing in record time?

How could I have imagined he was longing for his own unorthodox fairytale to come true? Frantically.
