So, What's It About!?
Choko Kuze is the sensible daughter of a venerable family who went bankrupt. She joins a real estate company as an entry-level office worker, but her eccentric boss is harder on her than anyone else in the company! After hearing him inadvertently call her "milady," she realizes he was the young servant boy she knew as a child. At work he's a tyrant, but after hours he insists on treating her like a lady of the nobility. Is romance even possible for a couple locked in such a crazy role reversal?
*This plot line is so hilarious, imagine your handsome boss being a total jerk by day, and a total sweetheart by night. That is exactly what this manga brings to the table and I got to say that I do love it.

Review Me
The chemistry the two characters have is a bit lacking in the begging and Domoto (boss) really gives of a perv feeling, but its all in a good day of fun. This story is a great adult comedy and I think that anyone of the appropriate age would really enjoy this manga. I enjoyed how Choko and Domoto relationship grew and how she started to fall in love with his crazy antics. The only thing that I disliked was her need for him. Throughout the manga she went from a strong independent character, to this girl that needed her man around her to feel confident and safe and that just pulled my strings a bit. Now let us move on to the art! Yuki Yoshihara is a brilliant artist her characters have great expression and unique looks and its just beautiful crisp and clean and not a jumbled up mess. Her art styles is really different from others almost giving life like proportions and a different sense of fashion that really captivates.

Synopsis: After death, humans are either sent to the void or reincarnated. But for some, at the instant of their death, they arrive at Quindecim, a bar attended by the mysterious white-haired Decim. He challenges them to the Death Game, wherein they wager their lives and reveal their true natures. Decim himself is the ultimate arbitrator of who wins and who loses, who will go to the void, and who will be reincarnated.

Review: Oh Death Parade, you and your many challenges that strike fear and joy into every bar customer hearts. Death Parade really makes you feel like you can't trust anyone in your life not even the ones you love or the one that seem like decent hard working people. Along the anime we see that some of the methods that he, decim uses are so gruesome and fear inducing that it does nothing but take out the worst in anyone's heart. This is what really makes the anime the feeling of what you would do in that situation, what you would do if you awakened in a bar and you were told you have to play for your life, and were pushed to your extreme. I give this anime 10 points in my book for being original and digging into all my emotions a sure watch and a recommendation.

Some Music For You Here

Synopsis: A cheeky workplace romantic comedy, The Producers centers around, aptly, the producers working in KBS's variety department, featuring a bevy of cameo appearances from stars and a cascade of tongue-in-cheek references to showbiz, celebrities, and industry practices. Kim Soo-hyun continues his hot streak of hit projects as the bumbling rookie producer who's book-smart and street-stupid, while Cha Tae-hyun is his jaded veteran PD sunbae. Gong Hyo-jin plays a veteran PD whose prickly outer shell hides a softer inner marshmallow, and IU rounds out the cast as the haughty Kpop superstar. Shows are produced, mistakes are made, and people fall in love multiple times over.
Review: Okay I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch this drama because of the star-studded cast and cameos because I did. I'm sorry to say that not even Gong Hyo-Jin the Rom-con queen could save this disaster! Producer seems like a jumble of no story, no protagonist, no real love, but that of the side characters which made me enjoy the drama more than the mains. What did keep me dragging along this boring drama is Cindy (iu) and my love for Gong Hyo-Jin. Cindy's story is what made me want to cry like a baby I loved her story and really wish this drama would have focused on her. Her story was so heart wrenching that it just tore me apart. If you want to drag in order to see just her beautiful story go ahead it's worth it, but I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone and I feel like this is my first ever review where I tell you to stay away for your own good.

Today starts or new segment if your a fan of Otaku Friday you will love KJ-Tv a whole new segment dedicated to Anime And Korean Drama Reviews. We Will start KJ-Tv with a review for an underrated Anime Terror In Resonance.

Synopsis: In an alternate iteration of the present, Tokyo has been hit by a terrorist attack that has devastated the city. The only evidence of the culprits is a cryptic video uploaded to the Internet, which sparks paranoia across Japan. Unbeknownst to the authorities is that the terrorist masterminds—who call themselves "Sphinx" are two teenage boys who go by the names Nine and Twelve. Though they apparently should not exist, they have nonetheless decided to "wake up the world" with their heinous plans of destruction, with their fingers on the trigger.
Review: Terror in resonance was just mind blowing I couldn't stop watching a single second. This anime is just a stand alone which means it has no manga, no video game, Etc and I feel that terror in resonance has so much potential and isn't given a chance. I wish I could go deeper into there beautiful story that we could get a second season, about just there pasts. The animation in this anime was brilliant, the charterer designs were so well done that it could give you chills! "a warm smile and ice cold eyes" to give a character a smile that makes you feel safe and eyes that make you want to run it's hard. The Story is just so well written I just wish we could get more information on the institution the survivors the abused. I give this anime a clear 10 because this story is so fresh that its a nice change from your average monsters, love, and everything else anime. I really hope that you give terror in resonance a chance for it deserves it.

Welcome again to Otaku Friday. This week we bring you Deadman Wonderland! (Cue Rock Music Here!) okay now that your all set lets get started with today's deadly sin Deadman Wonderland.

So, What's It About?!
A massive anomaly ravaged Japan's mainland and destroyed most of Tokyo, sinking three-quarters of the city into the ocean. Ten years later, the story shifts to Ganta Igarashi, a seemingly ordinary student attending Nagano Prefecture's middle school. As an escapee, a survivor of the great earthquake, Ganta has no memories of the tragedy and has lived a normal life. This all changes when a strange person covered in blood and crimson armor floats through his classroom windows. Grinning madly, the 'Red Man' massacres Ganta's entire class but instead of killing him, embeds a red crystal shard in Ganta's chest. Within days of the massacre, Ganta is subjected to a kangaroo court as a suspect and is sentenced to death at Deadman Wonderland, a prison that doubles as a theme park.
   * This story is fantastic, a middle school student blamed for the massacre of an entire class then sentenced to a crazy facility that uses criminals as scapegoats in a family theme park... if this doesn't already catch your attention well I have nothing more to say.

Review Me!
I watched the anime and read the manga and this is really just so amazing, Deadman Wonderland makes you experience a roller-coaster of emotions and just makes you want to stay all day at home and read! The story was so well written the characters were all so fascinating and different there was not one character that didn't have a kick ass backstory! The art was also enchanting and gory that I stayed minutes taking in it all in. Deadman Wonderland is truly great forever a favorite. As for the manga I am a bit disappointed many main characters from the manga where missing due to the 13 episode count and really had no closure. If you really want to enjoy Deadman Wonderland to its full potential read the manga you wont regret it.

SPECIAL OTAKU FRIDAY

Today marks the fifth week of Otaku Friday's return and with it we bring you a special post about video games that have been turned into either a manga or an anime and also will announce a new segment to all you Otaku's.

Video Games Countdown

Japan has a wide variety of games ranging from action to Role play to Visual Novels. Many of these games due to high popularity and advertising attempts are turned into animes and mangas. We start our countdown to a romance visual novel by the name of La Corda D'Oro

5. La Corda D'oro
La Corda d'Oro is a visual novel produced and developed by Koei due to its high popularity the character designer Yuki Kure adapted the game into a seventeen volume manga in 2004-2011. In 2006 the manga was adapted into a 26 episode anime by the name of La Corda d'Oro: Primo Passo and a 2 episode special named La Corda d'Oro: Secondo Passo in 2009. The game franchise has then had many other game releases with different characters and story.

Manga/Anime Plot:
Kahoko Hino is a student in the General Education section of Seiso Academy. One day she runs into Lili, a musical fairy, who grants her a magical violin and a place in the school's annual musical competition. Kahoko refuses, only to be pressed on by Lili until she accepts the instrument and place in the competition. As she practices, Kahoko is amazed that she can play any musical piece as long as she knows the tune and plays it with her heart. As the competition goes on, she becomes more and more attached to the people she is trying to compete with.
*La corda d'oro is your average shojo manga. Since this is based on a visual novel the main character has a problem identifying who she really loves. As the story progresses you start to love the characters and grow with the series as well. No real ultimate romance happens, but more of a growth in friendship.

4.Diabolik Lovers

Diabolik Lovers is a visual novel developed by Rejet and published by idea factory, realeased in 2012 and remastered for play on psvita 2013. Diabolik lovers has been adapted into a 14 episode anime and a second season in the works.

Plot: The heroine, Komori Yui, was a normal teenage girl until in her second year of high school; her father, a priest, has to go overseas for work. As a result, Yui is forced to move to a new town and arrives alone at a mansion she was told will be her new home. As she approaches the front door it begins to rain. Because no one answers her knock, she reaches for the knob, but the door swings open of its own accord. Yui enters the mansion to find no one in sight. As she starts to explore her immediate surroundings, she finds a young man (Ayato) asleep on a couch. He wakes up as she approaches him and promptly pins her down. As she begins to panic, five other young men gradually appear. Yui notices something different about all of them. She discovers that all six of them are brothers but by three different mothers, and they all turn out to be vampires.
*Okay, Sadistic vampires this anime is dark and a bit perverted! I'm not going to say I didn't love it because I loved every bit but there is some freakish stuff going on. I really enjoyed the dark feel to the story and would re-watch at anytime. If your into crazy vampires with weird fetishes this is for you.

3.Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4
Persona 4 is a role playing game in the Shin Megami Tensei series developed and released by Atlus in 2008. Persona 4 has then been adapted in a two season anime and film.

Plot: The story follows Yu Narukami, a quiet teenager who moves to Inaba to live with his uncle and cousin for a year due to his parents working abroad. After looking into a rumor about a mysterious 'Midnight Channel' that appears on televisions during rainy days, Yu and his new friends, Yosuke Hanamura and Chie Satonaka, discover a strange world hidden inside the television, inhabited by strange monsters known as Shadows and a curious bear-like creature named Teddie. It is here that Yu awakens a mysterious power known as 'Persona', which allows him to fight against the Shadows. Yu and his friends soon discover that this TV World is related to a mysterious string of murders, in which dead bodies appear during foggy days. With the Midnight Channel warning them of potential victims, Yu and his friends, along with Teddie, form an investigation team dedicated to rescuing people who are thrown into the TV before they fall prey to the Shadows and finding the culprit behind the incidents. As the story progresses, the team rescue various people who become their new allies after overcoming their own Shadows and gaining Personas of their own, including Chie's best friend, Yukiko Amagi, delinquent Kanji Tatsumi, idol Rise Kujikawa, and young detective Naoto Shirogane. Together, Yu and his companions face up against the threat of the Shadows whilst also making the best of their youthful school life. Persona 4: The Golden Animation expands on the series with additional scenarios adapted from Golden version of the game, in which Yu encounters Marie, a girl from the mysterious Velvet Room who is seeking to regain her memory.
the
*I Myself have not had a chance to watch this anime but am a big fan of the persona series. The reason i marked this as 3rd is that I myself enjoy the game and think that the animation as probably just as good if not better then the game itself. Also check out Persona 3 which has been adapted into films!
2. Amnesia
Amnesia is a Japanese visual novel series by Idea Factory. It was released in 2011 for PlayStation PortableSince this series is well received in Japan, it produced various related merchandise such as drama CDs, character music CDs and books. In 2013 a anime television series has been produced by Brain's Base
Plot: This story takes place in a fictional town, in a fictional country, in a fictional world. One morning, a young lady awakens to find that she has lost all her memories prior to that morning. Her life, her relationships, her very name all gone. All that's left is a cell phone with numbers and names she doesn't recognize and Orion, a young boy that only she appears to be able to see. With Orion's guidance, she struggles to make sense of herself, a boyfriend she doesn't know and the thousand and one little things that make up a daily life. But with no memories left, the only alternative is to forge new ones, even if that means leaving old loves behind.
*I Cannot tell you how much I love this anime. This anime is so confusing and perplexed that you feel as lost as the protagonist the whole time until the end when you start to connect the pieces and see for yourself the beautiful story. This anime is so beautiful and has such a great story that I recommend it to all of you.
1. Danganronpa
Danganronpa is a Japanese video game franchise created and developed by Spike Chunsoft for the PlayStation PortablePlayStation VitaiOS, and Android. The series currently consists of three main titles; two visual novel games, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and a third-person adventure spin-off,Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, along with multiple smartphone titles, as well as various manganovel, and anime adaptations.
Plot: The series revolves around the elite high school, Hope's Peak Academy, which, every year, selects several "Ultimate" students  talented high school students who are in the top of their field, along with one average "Ultimate Lucky Student" who is chosen by lottery. In Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Makoto Naegi, an average student selected to join Hope's Peak Academy, arrives at the school only to lose consciousness and later find himself trapped inside the school, along with fourteen other students. There, a sadistic remote-controlled teddy bear by the name of Monokuma announces that the students will be forced to live in the school forever, offering only one way to graduate: murder another student and get away with it. When a crime scene is discovered, a "class trial" is held, in which the remaining students must discuss amongst themselves who the murderer is. If they can successfully figure out who murdered the victim, the culprit alone will be executed. However, if they guess incorrectly, the culprit will be able to leave the school and everyone else will be executed.
*I fell in love with Danganronpa the story was so well-done and the animation was beautiful, I still haven't been able to read the manga due to it unbelievably hard to get statues, but I really love the whole murder mysterious and class trials this anime gets you so interested that you just have to keep watching till the end. I am really hoping for a season 2 because the anime is left with a gigantic cliff hanger that keeps you wanting more. This is on the must watch list and highly recommended!

Doubt

Author: Yoshike Tonagi
English Publisher: Yen Press
Volumes: 2 Omnibus Edition
Buy Me: Amazon, BN, RightStuf
Art: 3.5/5
Story: 7/10
Overall Score: 8/10

Hello, welcome to this weeks Otaku Friday! On today's Otaku Friday we will review a unpopular but great manga called "Doubt". Doubt is a 4 volume Mystery/horror manga written and illustrated By. Yoshiki Tonogai. If your into the less graphic horror genre this is for you keep reading to find out more!

So, What's It about?
Doubt revolves around a fictional cell phone game called "Rabbit Doubt", in which the players are rabbits in a colony; one of the players is randomly chosen to act as a wolf infiltrating the group. Each round, the rabbits guess which is the wolf as the rabbits are eaten one-by-one until only the wolf is left.
In the story, four players of the "Rabbit Doubt" game YÅ« Aikawa, Eiji Hoshi, Haruka Akechi, Rei Hazama and a non-player Mitsuki Hōyama meet to relax together. They are knocked unconscious and awaken in an abandoned psychiatric hospital to meet Hajime Komaba and discover Rei hanged. The group find Rei's cell phone and realize that they're playing a real-life game of "Rabbit Doubt". To survive, the wolf, described as the liar, must die.
     * I found this story to be a little similar to "SAW" which if you haven't watched is an American horror film where a group of people are put into a room and together they have to figure out how to escape. This manga isn't exactly the same as saw, but does have many similarities. The twist and turns in this series had me guessing who the rabbit was and kept me doubting every character.  If your a horror fan then is a great pick up, and since it is a short story its a quick and good read.

Review me!
Although I did enjoy reading this I found the story a little over played and not anything very original. The characters, being a short story didn't have any character growth and you also got your average manga characters, the thug, the innocent sweet girl, The "hot" girl, etc. I'm probably being a little harsh and making it seem unappealing, but it does keep you interested. What really saves this series is the twist and turns, Soon you even start to doubt the protagonist, and that is what makes this story a gem among rocks. The art was light and didn't have anything very gruesome which is great for some readers, but not the greatest thing for others. Yoshinki put a great train of thought into the overall story which you will see if you pick this little gem up.

The Future Diary

The Future Diary (OT)

Title: The Future Diary (Mirai Nikki)
Author: Sakae Esuno
English Publisher:
-Tokyo Pop (Former)
-Viz Media Entertainment
Volumes: 12
Art: 4.5/5
Story: 9.5/10
Overall Score: 9.5/10

Welcome all to OTAKU FRIDAY! Today we review another Shonen psychological drama. The Future Diary, The Future Diary revolves around a group of twelve people who all write their own individual diaries. The Diaries reflect each persons job or personality,  but never did they imagine that their lives would change forever and that their greatest power and weakness lay within their diary.

So, What's It about!?
Yukiteru "Yuki" Amano is a loner who spends most of his time writing a diary on his cell phone or talking with his imaginary friends Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space; and Murmur, Deus's servant. One day, Deus gives Yuki a special diary, mentioning something about a game. Strangely, Yuki's new diary has entries in it spanning the next 90 days—entries about the future that come unnervingly true. Deus, revealed to be the not-so-imaginary God of Time and Space, then forces Yuki to participate in a battle royale with eleven other people, each of whom also has a diary that can predict the future in some unique way. The rules of this "Diary Game" are simple: the contestants must try to find and kill all the other contestants before the world ends on Day 90, and only the last one standing can prevent the Apocalypse and become the new God of Time and Space.
  * I usually go for these stories because i'm really into putting a group of people together and seeing who would actually play into the sick game. Along the way we get to see every characters back story and reason for becoming god and let me tell you it is nothing less of a Physiological Drama we have the good guy who is pushed against the wall in order to save his own. The misunderstood people who had no other choice but to feed into other peoples cruel intentions, and the innocent which the game has corrupted. The overall story has some major twist and turns that will keep you reading, and also some very sad stories that just keep you turning the pages.

Review Me !
I really loved this story and the bond the two protagonist shared. The two protaganist relationship wasn't so much of a romantic relationship, but one of mutual need. The Future Diary was a whole new world for me because I've never read something so twisted as in a crazy, what the h*** is going on way. This story goes much deeper than your average manga with great character growth and a bond achieve for each character. This story faces many psychological as well as physical issues like domestic violence, evil cults, corrupt politicians, terrorist acts ,and psychotic emotionally damaged people. I really loved this story, but I wouldn't have a thirteenth year old reading this I would say older teen. If your looking for a great action packed manga this one is for you and is highly recommended.

My Little Monster

My Little Monster

Author: Robico
# of Volumes: 12 +1
English Publisher: Kodansha
Art: 4 out of 5
Story: 3.5 out of 5

On today's Otaku Friday we tone it down a bit and review a Shojo Manga. My little Monster is a quirky fun manga that has been adapted into a 13 episode anime ending at Volume 4. This Manga is a about a Study bug girl and an oddly misunderstood thug who end up meeting on one fateful day and together there lonely lives change forever. (Keep Scrolling For More Details)

So Whats It About?
My Little Monster focuses on the relationship between Shizuku Mizutani, who has absolutely no interests except in studying and her plans for the future, and a boy named Haru Yoshida, who sits next to Shizuku in class but rarely attends school. After Shizuku is tasked with delivering class printouts to Haru's home, she meets Haru, who immediately greets her as a friend, starting their new relationship. Nicknamed "dry ice," Shizuku is renowned as a girl who is emotionless and cold. However, when she met Haru, she was touched by his innocence and his lack of knowledge towards human relationships. Though known as a violent and uncontrollable monster, Haru is actually kind and gentle. Haru immediately declares his love towards Shizuku, but it takes much longer for Shizuku to realize and accept her own feelings towards Haru. Together, they help each other, two previously unsocial beings, learn how to care for others and make friends.
*I really enjoyed this manga's soft fresh feeling, but I absolutely despised the protagonist Shizuku, it bugged me that every event they had being either a party, date, or hanging out with friends she was always studying, and it took awhile for her character to develop and grow as fast as Haru's Character. Haru, was what kept me going with this manga so long his character was that of a misunderstood teen who displayed his fear an anxiety's with violence, his friendship and good deeds with violence all because that's the only way he knew how to display it. Haru's growth throughout the manga really hits your hearts strings and that's what really makes it a great read. On a side note I really enjoyed Yamaken which is a minor character who is also interested in Shizuku. Yamaken happens to be directionally challenged he like Haru was one of the aspects that kept me reading he just made me laugh so much, his character is so a prideful that it makes it even funnier when he has to be pointed in the right direction after a dispute

Review Me!
My Little Monster is great read for any ages. It is a light hearted comedy about learning how to make friends and interact with others. I really enjoyed the art style which is light and crisp, some mangas like last weeks review Tokyo Ghoul (Older Teen) seem a bit more cluttered, and with My Little Monster there's none of that feeling of I can't understand what's happening. Haru's and Shizuku's love is nice and childlike with no extreme happenings which is great for younger readers. Overall it's not on my favorites list but I do recommend this if you want a little stress relief. (Also My Little Monster reminded me of a manga named Love Attack If you enjoy My Little Monster and are a bit older this would be the perfect manga to switch too.)

Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul (Manga)

Author: Ishida Sui
Volume: 1
Chapters: 1-9
Publisher: Viz Media Entertainment (Jun.16 2015)
Art: 4 out of 5
Story: 5 out of 5

So today marks the long awaited return of Otaku Friday! which is now hosted on the main site!(childish screams insert here) On today's review we will be talking about the ever so popular (and I understand why.) Tokyo Ghoul! Okay so I know many of you Otakus have probably watched the anime and today i'm here to tell you to READ the Manga which fills the gaps to unanswered questions and feels like a whole different story along the way. Although the anime is pretty amazing and ill admit a personal favorite the Manga is always better so lets get started on Today's Otaku Friday!

So, What's It About??!
Strange murders are happening in Tokyo. Due to liquid evidence at the scene, the police conclude the attacks are the results of 'eater' type ghouls. College buddies Kaneki and Hide come up with the idea that ghouls are imitating humans so that's why they haven't ever seen one. Little did they know that their theory may very well become a reality. The story follows Ken Kaneki who barely survives a deadly encounter with Rize Kamishiro, his date who reveals herself as a ghoul , a human-like creature that hunts and devours human flesh, and is taken to the hospital in critical condition. After recovering, Kaneki discovers that somehow he underwent a surgery that transformed him into a half-ghoul by transferring some of Rize's organs into his body, as she died when she attacked him, and just like them, he must consume human flesh to survive as well. With no one else to turn to, he is taken in by the ghouls who manage the coffee shop "Anteiku", who teach him to deal with his new life as a half-human/half-ghoul, including interacting with ghoul society and its conflicting factions, while striving to keep his identity secret from other humans.
      * So the story is pretty awesome you have the whole ghouls eating humans and along the way you get to develop personal and deep sadness for the struggles the ghouls face and know that its just not their fault. Keneki is a not your average scatter brain shonen character that we are all used to, but a average guy with a knack for reading. Keneki who is already socially challenged gets this organ transplant that just, changes his life into an already hard one to an even worse one. He can't even eat a cheeseburger anymore and drools at the sight of an open wound. (not really but you get the point) the story just isn't revolved with a character who is told, "Hey, your a demon you eat people now." and their responds is "Okay! this is awesome!" but is taken to a realistic and physiological point with a average guy facing this drastic change in his life.

Review Me!
Tokyo Ghoul is not for the faint of heart or anyone under 13! Tokyo Ghoul consist of a lot of Bodily Parts being dismantled and faces a lot of physiological issues. The main characters faces a problem in order to except himself and his new life to the point that he tries to (*****Spoiler****) cut out the organs that have been transplanted into him.( *****End Of Spoiler*****)  I myself would recommend this to anyone of the appropriate age since the story is a lot more different then anything I have ever read and it is just beautifully done.

Tell Me More!
Volume one of Tokyo Ghoul consist of nine chapters
  • Chapter 1: Tragedy
  • Chapter 2: Strange Phenomenon
  • Chapter 3: Terrible
  • Chapter 4: Coffee
  • Chapter 5: Feeding Ground
  • Chapter 6: Homing Instinct
  • Chapter 7: Deception
