Why I Need It!

First of all It's Marissa Meyer, I would read her grocery list if i had the chance. Secondly I love, love retellings especially when is centers around the villain and their back story. I can't wait to see how Marissa executes this Alice in Wonderland retelling! I hope it is just as amazing as The Lunar Chronicles. Also isn't that cover to die for.

My Thoughts:

In this novella we go back to Queen Levana's past. We go back to when Queen Levana is a 16 year old princess to when she becomes Queen of her beloved Luna.

Let me just say that this book made me feel some things that I never in my wildest dreams thought I could feel for Levana,I actually felt sorry for her. Levana grew up to be a twisted, manipulative, evil Queen and this novella helps us understand why and let me tell you are going to want to rip her head off. This novella also helps us understand how Winter and Cinder came to be in Levanas life.

I recommend this to anyone that loves the Lunar Chronicles and wants to learn more about Levana and her evil ways. I also recommend you read them in order of publication Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and then Fairest, you don't have to but you would be more familiar with the characters when you begin reading Fairest. There is an excerpt of Winter in this novella that just made me anticipate the release even more (is it fall yet). This series is amazing I cant wait to see how it ends!

Why I Cant Wait to Get my Hands on this Book:

When I first heard that Winter's release date was moved from November 2014 to November 2015  because there was a Queen Levana Novella coming out I wasn't too happy, I just wanted to know what happens to the characters I had grown to love. But now I think about it and I would love to know what is behind the glamour how Queen Levana actually looks. I also can't wait to find out what happened to her that made her become so evil. This book is going to be so good! I love reading the villains side of the story. I cant wait to have this book in my hands even if it means waiting a little longer for the completion of the Lunar Chronicles.
