My Thoughts:

I was sent a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I was so nervous going into this book since is the last book in the Air Awakens series and I didn't want to say goodbye to the characters that I have grown to love or the world that Elise has created, but now that I'm done reading Crystal Crowned I have to say that Elise ended this series magnificently; I'm sad that I won’t read any more books with the amazing characters, but I'm more than satisfied with how the series came to an end.

I loved seeing Vhalla go from a shy library apprentice to the fearless Windwalker, her character development even in this book was very well written and I'm definitely going to miss her. Another character that I loved to see grow and become a great leader was Aldrik; gosh I’m going to miss that man! I loved every single little thing about him and absolutely adored him in this book, he went from the feared Fire Lord to the True Emperor his people needed. I have one more character that I absolutely fell in love with and need to mention and that will be Jax, that man kept me laughing when everything seemed lost and I loved his character for that, I also really liked that we go to know more about him and I wouldn't mind getting a novella in his perspective.

This book was so different from the previous ones it was brutal and hit me in the feels over and over again, but I didn’t mind one single bit. I loved the way Elise described Victor’s magic and how she made me loathe him even more than I already did. The action in this book was just what I wanted and nothing less and that epilogue was absolute perfection!!! Elise nailed it! I’m so sad to say goodbye to this amazing series, I’m going to miss all the characters and they will always have a special place in my heart. If you have yet to pick this series up I HIGHLY recommend it! It's amazing and each book just gets better and better. Thank you so much Elise! You have become one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read more of your work.

Cvareh would do anything to see his sister usurp the Dragon King and sit on the throne. His family’s house has endured the shame of being the lowest rung in the Dragons’ society for far too long. The Alchemist Guild, down on Loom, may just hold the key to putting his kin in power, if Cvareh can get to them before the Dragon King’s assassins.
When Ari stumbles upon a wounded Cvareh, she sees an opportunity to slaughter an enemy and make a profit off his corpse. But the Dragon sees an opportunity to navigate Loom with the best person to get him where he wants to go.
He offers her the one thing Ari can’t refuse: A wish of her greatest desire, if she brings him to the Alchemists of Loom.

Publisher: Silver Wing Press

Genre: YA Fantasy

Nowhere is safe, and Vhalla must tread carefully or else she’ll fall into the waiting arms of her greatest foe. Or former lover.

My Thoughts:

I was sent an ARC by the author in exchange for and honest review.

WOW! Just WOW! I thought the last book had broken me, this one destroyed me! This series is going to kill me! I'm so terrified to see what’s coming in book five, but at the same time I can't wait to have it in my hands and devour it in one sitting just like I did with this one. Elise has quickly become one of my favorite authors and to be completely honest I would read her grocery list. I was a mess since page one! Just reading those first few sentences took me back to the ending in Earth's End and to a certain Crowned Prince who was become my greatest obsession, I can’t get enough of him or the other characters in this series. Vhalla's strength and courage will never stop amazing me, she has overcome so many things that I don't see anyone else coming out from, with the same strength she has. I was so glad to get more of Jax, he is such an amazing character and I love him to pieces he makes me laugh so much and I thank him for it. Elise hit me with a twist that has left me numb and I don't know how will overcome; I have to say this is the book that has hurt me the most, but I don't mind I LOVED every second of it! I LOVE this series and I want to thank my good friend Cassandra a million times for introducing me to it! All I have left to say is that if you haven’t picked this series up PLEASE, Please do it won’t disappoint.

Earth's End

Book Review

Earth's End (Air Awakens, #3)

Title: Earth's End
Author: Elise Kova
Rating:
Date Published: February 11, 2016
Publisher: Silver Wing Press
Genre: YA Fantasy
Page Count: 350
Stalk the Author: TwitterFBInstagram,

Synopsis:

A woman awoken in air, a soldier forged by fire, a weapon risen from blood.

Vhalla Yarl has made it to the warfront in the North. Forged by blood and fire, she has steeled her heart for the final battle of the Solaris Empire’s conquest. The choices before Vhalla are no longer servitude or freedom, they are servitude or death. The stakes have never been higher as the Emperor maintains his iron grip on her fate, holding everything Vhalla still has left to lose in the balance.

My Thoughts:

Those of you who read Fire Falling know exactly why I was dying to get my hands on the third book in the Air Awakens series, but I'm so glad I waited until the release for the fourth book was in the horizon.  This book broke me like no book has ever broken me before, I would find myself crying out of nowhere at the most random times and I don't even care or mind. Elise has done it again she has written such a masterpiece and has made me fall even deeper for the amazing characters she has created. Vhalla has grown so much since we first met her she keeps her composure so well when I would be raging and going ballistic at a certain someone, I also love how much Aldrik and her relationship has grown I love the way they speak to each other and how she gets on to him at times. We're also introduced to s0me new characters one of them being Mr. Jax oh, how I freaking love that man, he  is something else he had me laughing at the most random times and through many tears. I never knew how much I missed this world until I was back in it, the way Elise writes just sucks you in and you don't want to stop until you're on the last page. This book brought me so much joy and sorrow at the same time I just want to pretend that I never read that ending that broke my heart into a million pieces, but I would not have it any other way. I can't wait to read Waters Wrath and see where Elise will take us from here. If you are reading this and haven't picked this series up yet PLEASE do it's so GOOD and deserves so much more hype than what it gets.

Blog Tour: Tales From the Front 05 & Giveaway

Tales from the Front

When the ever amazing Elise Kova contacted me ask me if I wanted to be a part of this very unique and awesome blog tour, I didn't even need to think about it I immediately said yes! I'm so excited to share this piece of the puzzle with ya'll! If you have not read the first two books in the "Air Awakens" series I highly recommend them! Since my piece of the puzzle is the 5th one I will add the links to the other pieces on the bottom.

What Is Tales from the Front?

Tales from the Front is a series of notes, alternate POV chapters, and other teasers that take place from just before the end of Fire Falling (Air Awakens, #2) to the beginning of Earth’s End (Air Awakens, #3). They are being sent out at random with the idea that bloggers and readers can ban together to put the puzzle pieces together to find out a different side to the story and uncover truths about the characters.
Bloggers and readers are invited to re-post information so long as they link back to the individual who posted it originally. In fact, this is generally encouraged, as it’ll help connect all the pieces! You never know who will be receiving information and when.

Exclusive POV:

Tiberium Solaris, Emperor, conqueror, sat completely vexed as to what his next move was going to be. There were a few things that bothered him above all others: insubordination, loss of control, and anything that called into question his authority. The girl was all three personified and given a power that she barely comprehended the depth of, to top it all off.
He rubbed his temples in frustration. It was becoming more appealing by the day to outright kill her. It was well within his right. No, the Emperor left his tent, needing to stretch his legs. He couldn’t kill her. The future of his campaigns and plans depended on her. He’d invested too much now to find another.
The camp was a shoddy setup, but he’d seen worse. He’d lived through worse. Tiberium folded his hands at the small of his back, gripping them tightly, and started for a tent with two guards posted on either side.
“Just the woman I was looking for,” he spoke as Elecia Ci’Dan emerged. It spared him going in and facing the weakness that festered under the camouflaged canvas.
Two emerald eyes faltered in surprise under his pressing gaze. Elecia Ci’Dan made herself out to be a Western princess in her mind and he would never allow that sort of thinking to flourish in his presence. Especially now, not after he suspected her involvement in the Windwalker’s flight. She was making a dangerous choice in where she stood and she would know it.
“Report,” Tiberium demanded.
“No change.” The girl looked askance in a cheap display of servitude, but it was servitude.
“How much longer can you maintain?”
“I need more medicine, other skilled clerics, I could provide you a list,” she answered stubbornly. Her demand was thinly veiled and the Emperor could hardly believe that she’d have the audacity to harp upon it now of all times.
“Have you not already provided a list?” The Emperor took a step forward and dropped his voice so only the girl could hear. The flash of panic in her emerald eyes confirmed everything. “Was it just you and the Windwalker conspiring?”
Elecia’s eyes darted toward a group of sorcerers. Reale, the Emperor thought, he should have known she would be involved. The woman was practically a zealot for those with magic. Tiberium would not tolerate loyalty to anything beyond him and his Empire. Variables that compromised absolute power were kindling, and revolutions sparked too easily.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, my lord.” Elecia looked at him defiantly. Let the girl have her defiance for now, she’d told him everything he needed to know.
“I think you do.” Tiberium relished in her momentary panic. She would learn her lesson from this before the day was out. “For you were part of the council that supported the idea of my sending the Windwalker.”
What?
“This is what you will tell the soldiers, when they ask where their hero-” he bit out the word, “-has gone.”

Vhalla Yarl marches to war as property of the Solaris Empire. The Emperor counts on her to bring victory, the Senate counts on her death, and the only thing Vhalla can count on is the fight of her life. As she grapples with the ghosts of her past, new challenges in the present threaten to shatter the remnants of her fragile sanity. Will she maintain her humanity? Or will she truly become the Empire’s monster?

Fire Falling is the second book in the Air Awakens Series.

My Thoughts:

The author was kind enough to send me an ARC of her book in exchange for an honest review.

This book went beyond my expectations it was such an amazing and emotional read; five starts is not nearly enough for this novel. I loved the first one, but I adored the sequel. Vhalla is going to war and now belongs to the crown while Aldrik assures his father that she will bring victory to the Solaria Empire the Senate is sure they're sending her to her death.

This novel had me up till three in the morning because I could not put it down and when I did finally decide to go to bed as soon as I woke up, I got right back into it; I needed to know what was going to happen and now that I'm done reading it, I wish it was February so I can dive back into the amazing world Kova has created. I can't get enough of her characters especially Vhalla and Aldrik, I loved how Aldrik opened up so much more for Vhalla and we got to see and learn so much more about him. I'm glad that we also got to see a lot of the characters that we only had a glimpse of in the first book. I love how the story is developing and how Vhalla is learning more about herself and her powers as the book progresses. This novel had me in an emotional roller-coaster and towards the end of that ride I was an emotional wreck and I didn't even care! Kova’s writing is amazing! I love this series and can't wait to see where Kova is going to take us in the next novel, which I really wish I had in my hands like yesterday. If you haven't picked this amazing series up, I highly recommend it is so good and everyone needs to read it!
