My Thoughts:

I sadly have to say I was a little disappointed by this book. With all the hype it was getting in the book community I was expecting it to be a little better, but even though this book didn’t live up to its hype in my opinion, there was things I did enjoy about it. I liked this book I just didn’t love it; like most people did.

 

In this book we follow our main character Mare a seventeen year old girl in a world where people are divided by the color of their blood. The red blooded being the commoners and living under the rule of the silver bloods that have god like powers; everything is fine in the silver bloods world until Mare who is red blooded seems to possess the same powers they do. 

Even though Red Queen didn’t meet my expectations I must say there were some things that really intrigued me; one being the powers of the silvers I just couldn’t get enough of every new power that Aveyard introduced. Oh and the betrayal and plot twist really got me I never saw it coming and to be totally honest there were points in the book when I had no idea who I could trust. Now to the reason I gave this book a 3.5 instead of a 5 I just didn’t get attached to any of the characters I could care less if they lived or died. The book was also lacking on the world building and it had too many similarities with other books. Also the love triangle was insane in this book! Lets just say it gets a little bit annoying how many suitors our Mare has.

 

With that said I will be continuing with the series. I would love to learn more about the powers that the silvers possess and where the betrayal, plot twist are going to take the story. Have you read this book? Did you like it? Leave a comment below; I would love to hear from you.

My Thoughts:

This book was sent to me in Eformat by the author for review, but that in no way affects my my thoughts on this book. What you read below is my honest review.

In this novel we follow our main character Lali while she’s trying to find out whom or what she is. Like she doesn't have enough to deal with she is being randomly attacked by mysterious creatures. When she finally meets Theon a boy that has been helping her survive the spontaneous attacks she has a tough decision to make does she leave with the stranger that promises her to tell her who she is and where she comes from, or stay in her current life with her mother and the young boy she has promised to marry Krei.

When I began to read this book I thought to myself this might not be the book for me the writing style felt a little rough drafty and I also felt that the beginning was a little slow, but as I continued to read the book actually picked up and I really enjoyed it. Adi Mandal has written such a unique story and the main character kicks butt she doesn't take crap from anyone.

This book is a fun, fast read that I really enjoyed! Before I forget to mention I really, really loved the mother and daughter relationship in this book. Lali wouldn't make any decision without thinking how it would affect her mother. This is something that you don't see in young adult novels often. Overall if you're looking for a fast, fun, unique read I definitely recommend this book.

Why I Need it in my Collection:

Well as you know from the review I wrote on A Thousands Pieces of You (I will Link Below) I adored the book and I'm dying to get my hands on the second one. The 192 days I'm going to have to wait are going to feel like an eternity. The synopsis immediately draws me in. I can't wait to read more about Paul and Marguerite's relationship and also getting to see the new universes Gray is going to takes us into. I know a rave a lot about covers, but guys this cover is just gorgeous; can we just take a moment to take all its beauty in. My Thoughts:

It's been sixteen years since the Spring Kingdom attacked the Winter Kingdom and enslaved the Winterians. The eight that were able to escape have been trying to recover their kingdoms magic to restore it and free the Winterians. Meira and orphaned girl along with Sir the man who raised her and Mather Winters king will stop at nothing until they see Winter restored.

When I read the synopsis I was intrigued by the fact that the kingdoms were divided by seasons; I thought to myself this book is going to be very interesting. It was also a cover buy because let’s admit it the cover is gorgeous. 

I loved everything about this book! The author’s world building took my breath away, the way she described each Kingdom was beautiful. I also grew much attached to the main character; I liked the way she didn't take crap from anyone and kicked butt. The love interest in this book is very minimal and made me want so much more of Prince Theron and King Mather. I cried with the ending of this book. I'm probably the only one that did, but I just loved it so much!

This book is a must read! If you haven't picked it up yet; what are you waiting for? If you like fantasies or books with loads of action in it, you should definitely pick this book up. I can't wait for October; so I can get my hands on Ice like Fire. I just know it will be as epic as Snow like Ashes.

My Thoughts:

When Lou lost her job she had no idea she would end up working for Will, and Will never imagined that his new caregiver Lou would fill his life with a riot of color. 

Warning this is not a love story, but it's equally as beautiful. The author ripped my heart out, tore it into pieces, while I sat in a poodle of my sorrow. This book is so beautifully written; I loved every second of Will's and Lou's story. It was very different from what I'm used to reading, this book broke my heart into a million pieces and I'm not even mad. It hit me right in the feels.

I'm keeping this review short and sweet because I don't want to spoil this book for anyone. If you're looking for something to destroy you emotionally; look no further this book is it. Also there's a sequel coming out in the fall, so it’s the perfect time to pick this one up while you wait for the sequel. In another note these book is being adapted into a movie as well (what book isn't at this point) but before you go and sit in the theatre to cry your eyes out; make sure you read the book. The book is always better than the movie.

My Thoughts: 

In this amazing novel we follow our main character Marguerite and her father’s assistant Theo; while they travel through dimensions in pursuit of her father’s murderer Paul.  While Marguerite travels through these universes and lives her different life’s, she starts to question Paul's guilt and her feelings toward him. When she discovers the truth behind her father’s death she realizes how wrong everything she thought she knew was.

Holy Crap! Words cannot express my love for this book! This book was phenomenal, it immediately sucked me in. Getting to know all this alternate universes what just the beginning this book just blows your mind yes, my mind was blown. This book is definitely going on my 2015 favorites. It was so good. I read it in one sitting and gods forbid anyone bothered me while I was reading it. 

Gray's world building and writing is beyond superb, she had me thinking I knew exactly was coming, and then she would do a complete 180 spin on me, that would just blow me away. The character development was great also Marguerite was one kick ass character and for the boys especially Paul let’s just say I have another fictional boyfriend added to my ever growing list.  

Overall if you can't tell already, this book is amazing and you HAVE to read it! It's going to kill me to have to wait until November to read the next book, but in the mean time I may just reread it and keep fangirling over this amazing, amazing book. Also the cover is just gorgeous so you should go but it; it will look beautiful in your bookshelf.

This book jumped out to me on Goodreads, The synopsis makes this book sound so cute and definitely a tear jerker, which I've really been in the mood for lately.
