My Thoughts:

I was sent a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. 

The Mystery of the Lost Uniforms is a children's story about two siblings that solve mysteries together. In this story the basketballs team’s uniforms go missing and it's up to Abby and Tommy to solve the case and find the uniforms before the big game. 

My son and I really enjoyed this book! I loved the illustrations they were very beautifully drawn and very colorful. I also loved that it was about two siblings working together, this is perfect to teach children that working together is a good thing. I also really loved the detective aspect in this book, even though I wish it would have lasted a little longer and they wouldn't have found the uniforms so quickly. I also really like that the characters made it known that they were eating healthy meals and that they were wearing safety gear when riding their bikes. I overall really enjoyed reading this book with my son, he really liked the illustrations. I'm really looking forward to reading more books about this two mystery solvers to my son.

Pinny is a adorable story about a pin that can't fall and for that starts to get bullied by another pin. Pinny starts to wonder if he even belongs in the bowling world, that maybe he was made to do better, bigger things. Pinny gains his confidence and ignores his bully to realize he was great at being a bowling pin after all!

I loved the never give up, you can reach the stars message this book sends to children, the illustrations are adorable the book is short but it works. I would buy this for any child it will make them realize that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and that bullies shouldn't stop you from doing what you love. Leah Ward tackles the bully subject very well in this short story. Christmas is almost here and Pinny would make a great stocking stuffer for any child. I'm definitely going to buy it for my son and make it a bedtime story book!

MY THOUGHTS ON THE BOOK:

In this novel by Julia Suzuki, we are transported to the magical world of Dragor where seven different clans of Dragons live hidden from the humans that use to enslave them. This novel is centered around a young dragon named Yoshiko, who is just starting school and gets bullied for being different by another young dragon Igorr, whose clan thinks it's superior to Yoshiko's.

At the beginning Yoshiko lets the bully get to him, but when he has finally had enough and takes off to get away from everything. He unconsciously ends up in the forbidden mountain where he meets Guya and elder dragon everything changes from that point. He no longer lets Igorr's taunts get to him instead Yoshika starts training with one of the best Dragon Guard for a great adventure that he has no idea lays ahead of him.

I really enjoyed this novel. It's beautifully written, Julia she describes the world so perfectly and vividly, and the dragons I couldn't get enough of them I loved how all seven clans had their own backstory, color, and they were just perfect. This book also sends a strong wonderful message to children about bullying and that being different is not a bad thing and that you don't always have to follow the crowd. This book is definitely a must read for all ages. I can't wait for the next book, Julia left me wanting more of this beautiful magical world full of amazing dragons.
