Wickedly thrilling fast-paced tale of a family of witches power struggles over light and dark magic, and how one mortal man gets caught in the crosshairs of the feud causing upheaval in not only Jasmine's love life but rife within the American Mage Alliance.

Will Jasmine save Jonathan at the risk of losing the one she love most?

My Thoughts:

I was sent an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I've read every single one of author D.F. Jones books, and I have enjoyed every single one! So, when she asked me if I wanted to read her new novel, I immediately said yes, and just like the rest it did not disappoint.

This novel is the perfect read for this month! It has all the paranormal elements you look for in a good October read witches, vampires, wolfs and so much more. The novel revolves around the witches and their power struggle over dark and light magic, our main witches name is Jasmine and oh, how I loved her character! She was so sweet, but she was also a rebel that took crap from no one, especially her dear grandmother who may I add was one crazy witch; I also loved how selfless she was. Jonathan is the poor mortal and love interest, I absolutely adored him! He was quite the southern gentleman and any girl would be lucky to have him by her side.

This book is very fast paced and grips you from the first chapter! I really enjoyed how Jones tackled the prejudice that witches had against mortals and vice versa, as the book progresses Jones shows us how those prejudices evolve for the better and how they come together to help each other. The novels plot thickens several times and it had me at the edge of my seat. I love romance in my novels and Jones made sure to provide us with plenty of it, and even though some holes were blown on my ship, I still loved the ending. The only thing I wish had been done a little different was how rapidly the characters fell in love, I’m just a sucker for a slow burn romance. Other than that, this novel was a great paranormal read, and has me hoping for a sequel because I just need more of these characters.

Anna receives a full ride out of state scholarship for medical school, but she is in love with Jerry.

Will Anna pursue her divine calling at the risk of losing true love?

My Thoughts:

I was sent a copy of this novel by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I loved, loved Anna's story! I couldn't get enough of it; Jones had her hooks on me since the beginning of the book until the very end. Anna and her friends Sandy, Ruby and Jerry all have powers that are later going to help them in a war. Anna has the power of healing and the longer she uses her powers to heal the stronger the pull to go to medical school becomes. when she receives a letter from an out of state school saying that she has been approved for a full scholarship, she has to make a tough decision, leave her one true love Jerry behind and follow her dream or put her dreams aside and start a life with Jerry. The character development in this book was very well written I really enjoyed reading how Anna came to understand her powers and grow stronger all with the help of her Guardian Angel Ralph, which by the way I adored. That is another thing that made me love this book all the Angels and Demons! I'm a sucker for books that talk about angels it’s just such a fascinating topic for me and I feel the way Jones wrote her Angels and Demons really gave them a personality and made me connect with them. I had a love and hate relationship with Mr. Jerry at one point I wanted smack him upside the head and ask him what the hell was going through that head of his. Before I end this review I just really want to say that I love the friendship this characters have they really and truly love each other and would do anything to protect their friends. I loved every second of this book and can’t wait to read the next one! If you haven't picked this series up and are in the look for a romance with some paranormal, look no further this is it.

Synopsis:

Once upon a time, there was the wandering soul of Morgann, an 8th century Irish calligrapher-monk longing to be reunited with his soul mate. Deirdre was his forbidden love, a witch with whom he wrote a coveted book.

Under her spell, the souls of the star-crossed lovers travel from bodies to bodies until they find each other. Eventually.
That became his quest: unearth her new body and trigger her memory, for she is clueless about whom she once was. Unfortunately their story didn't get a chance to become a fairy tale yet it still turned out as a famous urban legend referred as The Black Angel Book.

Twice upon a time, not so long ago, there was me, rational and devastated Rose. I needed to get a grip, said my French mum after my year of numbness due to a painful break-up that led me to cut my wrist daily, to feel something, anything.

So she sent me off to the free-spirited village of Provincetown, Massachusetts, to spend the summer with my American relatives. And just like that, I wasn’t myself any longer. Because someone pulled me out of the darkness and bewitched me, somehow.

I couldn’t wait to jump his bones… but why was he holding back?
He couldn’t wait to welcome me into his world… but was I ready to question my convictions and acknowledge that my self-inflicted cuts were now healing in record time?

How could I have imagined he was longing for his own unorthodox fairytale to come true? Frantically.

My Thoughts:

I was sent an Ecopy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Rose is staying in Provincetown, MA with her American family leaving France behind to try and get over a terrible breakup. A breakup that has led her to harming herself just to be sure that she can still feel even if that feeling is pain. While on P-Town Rose enlists in Calligraphy classes it is there where she falls for one of her teachers. Morgann's soul has been jumping from body to body since Deidre was killed and she cast a spell where their souls will travel until they find each other and Morgann thinks he has finally found Deidre; there is only one catch the spell Deidre left her clueless to who she really is and he must find a way to trigger her memory.

I really enjoyed this story! I felt myself clicking with all the quickly characters especially the man carrying Morgann's soul, as I read through the book I just wanted to read more and more of him. Rose goes through some great character development and I love to see how she went from being hurt to really enjoying her vacation. The novel did seem a little too slow in the beginning because the first half of the book is mostly getting to know both main characters, but once I got to the middle I couldn't put it down, I just kept wanting more and more! Hope hit me with several twist I was not expecting and I can’t wait to see where the story goes after some major decisions were made. Overall I was able to get past the slow start and really did enjoy this book and one other thing I need more of Virgil please, you'll know who he is when you read the book.

The one known as The Destroyer. With peace between the Hunters and Dragons hanging by a thread, one wrong move on Lily or Dallas's part could catapult them all back into war. But with Dallas playing by his own rules and someone on the outside decimating her life, they have a choice--stand and fight, or lose everything they never realized they wanted.

My Thoughts:

The author was kind enough to send me an Ecopy of the sequel of "The Dragon's Heart" In exchange for an honest review.

I recently did a review for The Dragon's Heart and I really enjoyed it, but I have to say I absolutely fell in love with Dragon's Redemption. Lilly is a Hunter that was tortured as a child by her stepfather when he finally took it too far and lily ended up at a police station another Hunter named Adrian found her and took her in as his sister, but when he goes missing Lily feels vulnerable and thinks the instincts she has always trusted are failing her. I really fell in-love with Lily I really connected with her, she saw the good in everyone no matter how scary they looked and I loved that about her, but don't take her kindness as a weakness she also fought for those she loved and had quite a temper on her. Dallas is nicknamed The Destroyer after he went in a rampage killing all the hunters in his path. Ever since he hates and doesn't trust any hunters, but when he meets Lily in his Kings wedding he can’t fight the growing feeling he has to protect her. Dallas really grew on me since the first book! He appears to be tough in the exterior, but in the inside he is a sweetheart, I really loved his character development throughout the book and he is just so freaking HOT!

I absolutely adored this book, we got to see more of the dragon and hunter world, we are even introduce to a whole new species of dragon. I also really liked the twist Eden hit me with; they had me at the edge of my seat. I finished this book in a day and a half I just could not put it down and I'm dying to get my hands on the third one and see where Eden is going to take us. I recommend this book if you enjoy
paranormal romance or if you just want to read a book about HOT men that turn into dragons!

CONTENT WARNING: Graphic fight scenes, lots of great sex, and hot, hot, hot dragon men

My Thoughts:

The author was kind enough to send me an E-book copy in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book! I couldn't put it down! First of all is about shape shifting dragons!! Yes, hot men that can turn into dragons at any time!

Shelby is a Hollywood starlet and Daniel is the Dragon king their worlds couldn't be more different. Until Daniel gets a call telling him that his mate has been shot and he has to get to the hospital as soon as possible, it is then that Daniel realizes he has accidentally made Shelby his mate and when Dragons mate they mate for life. Now Daniel is trying to find out who is trying to kill him and Shelby.

I have never read a book where humans shape shift into dragons and let me tell you I really like the concept. The book is a little fast paced, but I didn't mind it at all it kept me turning the pages. I really liked the other dragon characters even though they kept insisting they weren't friends (because dragons don't have friends) you could tell they really cared for each other and always had each other’s backs. I also liked how Shelby was so down to earth and didn't take crap from anyone and Daniel was one of those characters I just wanted to hug and never let go he was so broken and just wanted the best for Shelby, but oh my god is the man stubborn. This book hit me with some twist and turns that I wasn't expecting that had me at the edge of my seat. I really need to get my hands on the second book like now. If you like paranormal romance, shapeshifters, dragons or are just in the mood for a love story with a ton of action look no further this is book is it.
